Citizens Advice Barnet is a local charity which provides free advice to meet the needs of our community with the support of our community.

Right now, we are working hard to ensure everyone who needs our advice during the Covid-19 crisis is able to access it. Many people are getting in touch having been dismissed from employment with no income. We are the only free source of complex advice and support in Barnet, and we rely on the generosity of our community to provide it.

There are many ways you can be part of our mission to empower people in Barnet through support and advice:

    Donate:

  • Monthly
  • Setting up a monthly donation enables us to plan with more certainty and develop the services we can provide.

    Fundraise:

If you’re inspired by what we do and would like to keep yourself busy during lockdown, we’d love you to get involved. Why not set yourself a fundraising challenge, such as completing Couch to 5k in your garden or 1,000 star jumps in a month, or hold a virtual fundraising event, such as a quiz or talent contest? Once you’ve got your idea, create an online fundraising page using Virgin Money Giving and ask your friends and family to sponsor you or take part, too. Feel free to tag us on social media using @BarnetCAB on Twitter and @Barnet Citizens Advice on Facebook – we’d love to hear from you – and do get in touch with Louise if you have any questions or would like any help.

You could even fundraise by decluttering your home, or raise funds as you shop online. To #DeclutterAndDonate, use the Ziffit app to scan in any unwanted books, CDs, DVDs, etc. and choose Citizens Advice Barnet to donate the proceeds to at checkout. To raise funds by shopping through easyfundraising, simply visit easyfundraising.org.uk, click ‘Support this cause’ under our logo, create an account (or log in if you have one), and search for a retailer to shop with. To support us while shopping through Amazon, visit Amazon Smile, log in to your Amazon account, search ‘Barnet Citizens Advice Bureau’ and click ‘select’ next to our name, then shop through Amazon as normal.

    Volunteer:

    Share Your Story:

If our advisors have helped you and you’d be happy to talk to us about it, we would love to hear from you. Sharing stories of people we’ve helped is the most powerful way of explaining what we do and how that helps to people who might want to support us. Please click here to email Louise if you’d be happy to speak to us about how we’ve helped you.

Thank you

Your support means a great deal to all of us at Citizens Advice Barnet and makes a real difference to the lives of our clients. Here are a few of their words of thanks:
